Gardner Galleries is pleased to present a selection of important Canadian and international artwork, highlighted by a large landscape mural by prominent Quebec artist Maurice Cullen, painted circa 1911 for The Davis House, Montreal, which is now part of McGill University; also included is A.Y. Jackson's 1962 oil on panel "Nations River, Ripon, Quebec", from the estate of Alex and Sarah Robertson of London; other Canadian artists of importance include Ralph Wallace Burton, J.W. Beatty, Hortense Gordon, Brian Jones, William St. Thomas Smith, Thomas Mower Martin, Donald Applebee Smith, Ross Bishop, Adrian Dingle, John Kinnear, Andrew Plum, Eva Bradshaw, Val Sloggett, Eric Riordon, Tom Stone, James Clarke Hook, Frantz Charlet, John A. Hammond, Roy Thomas, Armand Tatossian, Dick Ferrier and Frederic Marlett Bell-Smith. This auction is also highlighted by a major bronze and ivory sculpture by French artist Claire Colinet, together with a selection of other well-listed European artists including Charles Jacque, Robert Scott Irvine, Salvador Dali, Michele Federico, John McGhie, Ernest Albert Waterlow, Henry Henshall, Évariste Carpentier, Rembrandt and many more.

Measurements described are for the image size of the painting only (height x width); the frame/matting size is not included unless mentioned in the description.  A sincere effort has been made to mention or photograph any major flaws but all works including frames are offered "as is".
