Titled "Dalhousie Baie de Chaleur", signed lower left, oil on on panel, 16.5 x 22.9cm (6 1/2 x 9in); Provenance: private collection, London; Narcisse Poirier, Canadian, 1883-1984; born in Saint-Félix-de-Valois, Quebec and moved to Montreal in 1899 where he studied at the Monument-National; Poirier worked with Marc-Aurèle de Foy Suzor-Coté decorating churches, and was known to have studied with celebrated artists such as Maurice Cullen, Alfred Laliberté, Henri Herbert and Elzéar Soucy
