A rare original detailed copper-plate engraving by Jean Andre (Plate 127) from the work of M. Bonne, Ingenieur Hydrographe de la Marine, based on the accounts of Cook’s First Voyage of Discovery in HMS Endeavour, and published in Paris in the French 1788 edition of Rigobert Bonne’s "Atlas Encyclopedique" including 4 inset maps within the full image, Isle De Noel, Havre D’Owharre dans Huaheine, Havre D’Oopoa dans Ulietea, and Havre D’Ohamaneno dans Ulietea, each showing the reef formations and anchorage locations; Cook’s ships sailed through the islands in July 1769
