Original page from the Latin "Nuremberg Chronicle" by Hartman Schedel published in 1493, Leaf CLXXII (page 172), 40.6 x 27.3cm (16 x 10 3/4in) - consigned by a retired Western University professor who has permanently returned to the U.K., he informed the auctioneers that this is original to a 1493 volume that received extensive damage during WWII; pages that could be salvaged were then sold off individually
