Late Qing Period cast bronze figure of Guanyin wearing a cowled robe decorated overall with auspicious six-pointed celestial star incised motifs; her hair worn in high chignon beneath the cascading cowl, her face modelled with a serene expression; shown standing with her right hand held in a blessing gesture while supporting a vessel containing the Elixir of Compassion in her left hand; raised upon a molded lotus-shaped base inscribed with characters verso; the interior surface of the underside of the base showing characters within a spherical seal; the figure exhibits fine old patina overall, height 29.8cm (11 3/4in)
