A painted bronze sculpture in the form of a standing woman, signed and dated 1998, height 41.9cm (16 1/2in); weight 10.7kg (23 3/5lbs); Lorie Schinko, a contemporary Canadian sculptor who majored in ceramics at Concord University, was also a student at the Ontario College of Art majoring in printmaking and with specialization in etching, painting and bronze sculpture; this is the first of several sculptures and paintings by the artist in this collection, and all were acquired directly from the artist
