Titled "Csendelet", signed "Lakos" lower left, oil on board circa 1920, sight 17.8 x 22.9cm (7 x 9in); housed in an antique 38.1 x 43.2cm (15 x 17in) frame; Provenance: old gallery receipt found verso identifying the previous owner as Dr. Lang Istavan, who purchased this work for 3000 Hungarian Forint in Budapest, December 13, 1993; this painting is much in the style of 20th century Hungarian artist Alfred Lakos, who was known for his portrait and still life works
