A large-scale acrylic on canvas depicting a wolf riding a rabbit, three-headed eagle and crescent moon amidst a red background with purple and blue hues, signed lower left, 61cm (24in) square; this is an early work by the artist, believed to have been executed in the early 2000's when Floyd began painting full-time; Provenance: acquired directly from Tane Art Gallery, Toronto, who the artist painted for the last two years of his life; an exhibition of his works was held at Tane from November 29th to December 29th, 2020, and as a courtesy to buyers, each painting featured in this important offering will include a photocopy of the pamphlet from the exhibition; Floyd Kuptana, Inuvialuk Canadian, 1964-2021
