An important large size bronze sculpture after August Rodin's "Bust of the Bronze Age", measuring 53cm (20 7/8in) high, width approximately 54.6cm (21 1/2in); posthumous bronze cast number 5 from an edition of only 24 by Masters Limited Edition in accordance with Rodin's original casting guidelines and recognized by international experts, signed left side of back; included is a 2005 appraisal by Walter A. Moos from Gallery Moos Ltd., Toronto for $85,000 USD; Provenance: from a private Ontario collection; Certificate of Authenticity from Masters Limited Edition also included; Auguste René Francois Rodin, a French sculptor often considered the founder of modern sculpture, 1840-1917; while few sales records for this bronze exist, the smaller 11in (28cm) high version was offered at Bonhams, London, March 4, 2015 with a pre-auction estimate of £10,000 - £15,000
