This is our final art auction of 2023 and largest offering of the year, comprising nearly 200 lots. Highlights include an original James Hergel acrylic on board titled "Hattie Cove at Dusk, Michipicoten River, Algoma", two oils by London artist Albert Templar, and works by Andrew Sookrah, Langley Donges, Owen Staples, Floyd Kuptana, Andrew Plum, Ross Bishop, Val Slogget, Helmut Breuninger, several illustrations by Wendy Hoile including for Weekend Magazine, Paul Leith, Moira Huntly, Paul Gagnon, Carolyn Joan Beaton, Don Scott, Frederick James Aldridge, Eric Atkinson, Sydney Berne, Hall Thorpe, Erna Nook Jackson, Sheila Kinnear, Audrey Ann Lowrie, Joan Hamilton-Smith and many more. Also included is a large selection of Inuit carvings, serigraphs by A.J. Casson, a set of Emily Carr limited edition prints, George French Angas lithograph and a Ricky Jewel Hohimer silkscreen. We've also added a few interesting items, including an original Gilbert & George exhibition invitation showing the duo in all their glory, and a vintage oil on board painted in the style of A.Y. Jackson.

Unless mentioned otherwise, measurements of the image are height by width, frame size not included. Condition reports for any work in this auction are available by contacting our office (condition of frames is never guaranteed). Where the terms "in the style of" or "in the manner of" the artist appear, in Gardner Galleries opinion, these works were painted after the noted artist.

*Please note shipping of larger paintings (typically any work where the painting size exceeds 24 x 30in) is not available through Canada Post.  As well, glass is always removed from the frame prior to shipping to avoid any damage during transport.  Please contact our office for a free shipping quote prior to bidding.
