19th century folk art oil on canvas depicting life on the Hudson River, signed by artist "W.A. Young" lower right, 33 x 40.6cm (13 x 16in) - this work is believed to also depict an image of the Clermont (also known as the North River Steamboat) in the middle-right background, as it is departing town to carry on its voyage; Note: the Clermont was in service from 1807-1814, which would date this painting to the early 19th century; Provenance: from a private London collection
