THEATRE PROP USED ON SCTV

A multi-coloured kerchief headpiece with large yellow banana, height 45.7cm (18in), width 55.9cm (22in); this theatre prop was originally used on the Canadian sketch comedy show SCTV in the early 1980's, the scene was a send-up of a Latin Club number, with two ladies in Carmen Miranda costumes and headgear dancing to music sung by Eugene Levy; it was later acquired from the present owner through Malabar costume Rental in Toronto, and used in theatre productions thereafter in the late 80's and 90's
