Oil on canvas depicting a Dutch room interior with seated woman, signed lower right, 61 x 91.4cm (24 x 36in) - the artist was born 1912 in Amsterdam, and studied at the Academy of Rotterdam; early in his career, he made study trips to Tangier and Spain and neighbouring countries; after several exhibitions, he returned to Holland and became a member of the Federation of artists and had an exhibition in the Museum Fodor of Amsterdam
