PRINCE MONYO SIMON MIHAILESCU-NASTUREL

Extremely large abstract bronze sculpture, signed to the base and numbered 2/7; height 1.95ft (76 3/4in), extreme width 61cm (24in) - Prince Monyo Simon Mihailescu-Nasturel, Romanian, born 1926; after leaving Canada in the late 1970's, Prince Monyo returned to the United States and did one man shows and exhibitions in many metropolitan cities; during this period, he also went to Italy and opened a studio in Piatra Santa; his works are on display in many museums around the world, and some of the largest private collections; in 1980, he moved to Palm Beach, Florida permanently; this is a major bronze sculpture by the artist, note the last photograph provides a better perspective into how large and impressive this work is, and would have retailed in his studio for over $20,000 US
