A rare antique apothecary chest with campaign brass handle to top and two ornate side handles, two fold-out doors which open to reveal a set of 6 antique glass bottles (some cracks noted), glass mortar and pestle, acid etched fluted graduate for liquid measures and complete scales in box never used; the owner's photograph (name indistinctly verso) included inside; secret poison cabinet to back with brass pin to lock/unlock; the cabinet measures 36.8 x 30.5 x 21cm (14 1/2 x 12 x 8 1/4in), and in museum quality condition
