1888 FRENCH ATLAS

"Atlas Universel et Classique De Geographie", New Edition, published by the Eugene Belin Library of Paris in 1888, containing over 90 pages of maps relating to Ancient, Roman, Middle Ages, Modern and contemporary times; boards have separated and spine missing, but maps and illustrations all in good to very good condition; a small sticker affixed to the front board indicates at one time the volume was sold by the General Bookstore of J. Plihon and L. Herve of Rennes, France; included is a water-damaged partial copy of a Belgian Atlas c.1867 published in Brussels, by the C. Callewaert Bros, and also bearing the stamp of the bookstore/library of Francois Roffiaen (1822-1898) of Namur, Belgium; although in generally poor condition, the special feature of this atlas is the accompanying engraved vignettes of the fauna and scenes pertaining to the area of each map
