LOT DETAILS
Impressive ship model R.M.S. Empress of Britain, large handmade wood model; the superstructure is lit from within (needs rewiring); based on family accounts, this model was made by an inmate of St. Vincent de Paul penitentiary in Quebec - it was acquired from the inmate hobby craft centre by the family descendant who was head of the remission branch service (later Corrections Canada); comes with its original wood shipping crate; overall good condition but needs some minor restorations (see images) - 62in long x 9in wide x 30in high (crate - 67 x 39 x 15in)
