A fine antique watercolour on paper "Untitled: Portrait of a Woman in Field", signed and dated (18)94 lower right, sight 43.8 x 27.3cm (17 1/4 x 10 3/4in) - Frederic Charles Vipont Ede, 1865-1943, a prominent Canadian painter, Ede studied at the Ontario School of Arts under George Reid and William Edwin Atkinson, and exhibited at the RCA in 1883 and the OSA in 1884; later in Montreal, Ede studied with Maurice Cullen and exhibited at the Art Association of Montreal Museum in 1889
