Eight loose/unframed plates from the celebrated "Flora Londinensis" of William Curtis (London, England 1777), from engravings by William Kilburn et al. - this lot includes "Betonica Officinalis/Wood Betony", "Sisymbrium Sylvestre/Creeping Water Rocket", "Linum Catharticum/Purging Flax", "Draba Verna/Whitlow Grass", "Geranium Pyrenaicum/Doves-Foot Cranesbill", "Erigeron Acre/Purple Erigeron", "Verbena Officinalis/Vervain" and "Sagina Procumbens/Procumbent Pearlwort"; beautifully hand-coloured and exquisite detail; please note condition of paper "as is" - sheet sizes for each approximately 48.3 x 29.2cm (19 x 11 1/2in); also included in the folio are loose text sheets - from the same collection as the preceding two lots
