Titled verso "Holy Loch, Near Kilmun", signed lower right and dated 1882, also signed and dated verso, oil on canvas, 45.7 x 35.6cm (18 x 14in); Provenance: James D. Good collection, who was Vice President of Supertest Oil and his London residence (at the corner of Waterloo and Epworth) is now part of King's University College; present private collection, London, by bequest from the owner's father, who worked with the Good Family and was given this painting as a gift; the canvas was professionally cleaned by Thielsen Gallery in 1985; George Blackie Sticks, British, 1843-1936; Note: Holy Loch is located in Argyll and Bute, Scotland, and has an interesting history of its own, including use as a submarine base during WWII
