Titled "Autumn Spirits", pencil signed and inscribed "Dorset, 2001" to the margin, etching and aquatint in colours editioned 6/50, image size 60.3 x 80cm (23 3/4 x 31 1/2in); frame outer dimensions 88.3cm x 1.14m (34 3/4 x 45in); Kenojuak Ashevak (Canadian Inuit, RCA, 1927-2013) was a leading figure of modern Inuit art; she became one of the first Inuit women in Cape Dorset to begin drawing, and worked in graphite, coloured pencils, felt-tip pens, watercolours and acrylics; her works are displayed in the Art Museum (The University of Toronto), the National Gallery of Canada, the Metropolitan Museum of Art and other major collections; "The Enchanted Owl", a 1960 stonecut print by Ashevak sold at auction in 2018 for $216,000
