THE JON W. KIERAN COLLECTION FEATURING FINE ART & ARTIFACTS

Buyer's Premium:

22% (2% discount for payments by cash or debit only - no discount for credit card or e-Transfer payments)

The late Jon William Kieran was a passionate lover of art, music, food, golf, travel and storytelling.  His Toronto home was a declaration of his love for sculpture, pre-Columbian, African and modern art, and was publicly displayed one month a year as the "Living Room Gallery".  This auction is highlighted by his collection of York Wilson paintings, one of the finest private collections by the artist ever to be offered for sale; together with works by Yvonne McKague Housser, Lionel LeMoine FitzGerald, Leonard Brooks, Francois Thepot, Bob Patterson and abstract sculptures including major works by Lorraine Samuel and Graham Todd.  Also included is Jon's extensive collection of Oceanic, African and pre-Columbian artifacts, including a New Guinea Blackwater shield, ancestral figures, a circa 300-400 A.D. pre-Inca cloth and several carved masks.

All lots in this auction are from the collection of Jon W. Kieran, without additions from other sources.  Unless mentioned otherwise, measurements of paintings are of the image size only (height x width); the frame size is not included.

*Please note shipping of larger paintings (typically any work where the painting size exceeds 24 x 30in) and artifacts is not available through Canada Post.  As well, glass is always removed from the frame prior to shipping to avoid any damage during transport.  Please contact our office for a complimentary shipping quote prior to bidding.
