LOT DETAILS

Reticulated "snake" bracelet handcrafted in almost pure yellow gold (tested as at least 22k) with overall enamel decoration, superb deep green colour emerald estimated as approximately 3.25 carats, large oval citrine and (2) ruby cabochon "eyes" found in the original fitted leather case - handwritten note states this once belonged to Thomas James Smyth (1835-1912) who purchased it circa 1865 in Naples as once belonging to the Queen of the Two Sicilies; the note also states it was made circa 1600; our jewellery expert's opinion is Burmese, mid-19th century - 65.4 grams
