A large hand-painted glazed ceramic two-piece sculpture titled "Quilt Lady", depicting a woman with raised hands standing in front of a multi-coloured quilt, signed and dated 2001, overall height of figure 68.6cm (27in), width 52.1cm (20 1/2in); the quilt measures 64.8 x 38.1cm (25 1/2 x 15in); a few small chips noted; Lorie Schinko, a contemporary Canadian sculptor who majored in ceramics at Concord University, as well the Ontario College of Art with a major in printmaking and specialization in etching, painting and bronze sculpture; this is the largest work by the artist to have appeared for sale at auction
