"Untitled: Portrait of a Man and Woman", signed lower left, oil on canvas, 76.2 x 61cm (30 x 24in); Provenance: from a prominent north London estate, together with the following four lots; included with this lot is "Menelaos Katafigiotis, Paintings and Drawings 1960-1983" hardcover volume published by Frederick Sawyer and the artist, New York, featuring 38 colour plates and 31 black and white plates; also included is a vintage exhibition poster displayed in a 29 x 21in frame; Menelaos Katafigiotis, Greek, 1926-1997, a talented 20th century artist who is perhaps best known for his cubist paintings of figures, and are exceptionally rare to appear for sale by auction with only nine records available from the past 15 years; a painting titled "Playing with Doves" was offered by Bonhams, London in 2019 with a pre-auction estimate of £4,000 - £6,000
