"Untitled: At Coney Island, New York", no signature evident, oil on board, 43.8 x 64.1cm (17 1/4 x 25 1/4in); from the late 19th century to the first half of the 20th century, Coney Island's seaside resort and amusement parks were at it's peak, which declined in popularity after WWII; it was revitalized again in the early 2000's with the opening of Maimonides Park, and currently has a population of 32,000; this is a lovely, colourful work showing several figures around a food stand on a summer's day
