"Untitled: Portrait of a Woman", signed lower left, charcoal drawing on paper, 55.9 x 38.1cm (22 x 15in); Provenance: private collection, London; Rita Mount, Canadian, 1888-1967; born in Montreal, Rita started painting at the early age of 10, later studying in Paris and under William Brymner at the Art Association of Montreal; she held solo exhibitions in 1934 and 1943, as well as with the Ontario Society of Artist's, the Royal Canadian Academy and the New York World's Fair in 1939; her works are displayed in major collections across the country
