Gardner Galleries are pleased to present one of the finest collections of artwork to surface in London, Ontario in many years, with over 140 works from Canada and abroad. This sale is highlighted by a watercolour & gouache on paper by Group of Seven member Franz Johnston; two works by well-known London artist Brian Jones, including his masterpiece "Garden Facade"; and a major David Blackwood oil on board, painted while he was a student at the Ontario College of Art in 1962.

Contemporary abstract paintings of interest include works by William Ronald, Marcelin Cardinal, Jonathan Forrest, Val Sloggett, Andrew Plum, Ross Bishop, Duncan De Kergommeaux, Ronald Gervais, Jacob Semiatin, Eve Apostoll and Gene Davis.

This auction also includes an excellent selection of sculptures, including five major bronzes from the James O. Poag collection of Strathroy, Ontario; other sculptures of interest by Leo Mol, Robert Bateman, George Shadford, Prince Monyo Simon Mihailescu-Nasturel, an art nouveau marble bust and "Le Pionnier" bronze statue by Marc-Aurèle de Foy Suzor-Coté.

Lastly, many other prominent artists featured in this auction include Nori Peter, Clare Bice, John Kinnear, Adrian Dingle, Salvador Dali, Eva Bradshaw, Ross Robertshaw, Tom Benner, William St. Thomas Smith, Hortense Gordon, Marc Clauzade, Peter Snyder, Kenneth Loveless, Halfred Tygesen, Edith Coombs, Bruce Heggtveit, Gordon Glasscock, Jon Claytor, Florence Helena McGillivray, Frederic Ede, Michael Snow, Clark McDougall, John St. Helier Lander, Floyd Kuptana, Elizabeth Lobingier and William Lees Judson.
