R.N.) depicting the three-masted schooner Charlotte Rhodes, and noted on the base it was "Off Krakatoa, Liverpool, 1870"; also with a threepence coin embedded in the flattened bottom depicting a young Queen Victoria (date unknown); Note: Charlotte Rhodes was Australian registered, and it is believed that Kirkman must have been a musician/artist on board as he used a treble clef in his signature; diameter 5.1cm (2in)
