Gardner Galleries are honoured to be entrusted with the sale of antique and collectible toys and dolls from the estate of Edna Marie Smale, Chatham, Ontario.

Assembled over several decades forming one of the largest private collections in Canada. Edna was a member of the Historical Toy & Doll Society of Southwestern Ontario and was often requested to loan items for display including at the Ridge House Museum, Ridgetown, Ontario. Her collection has been featured in numerous newspaper articles including one picturing her automaton doll valued at $10,000-$15,000, and in another a hand carved Virgin Mary doll circa 1795.

This is the first of several sessions and will feature cast iron banks and clockwork toys. Other sessions will include toys, antique porcelain dolls, Barbies in original boxes and much, much more.
