BRUCE HEGGTVEIT

A rare pastel drawing on paper titled verso "Early Winter, Gatineau River", signed lower right and verso, dated 1988 verso, sight 39.4 x 49.5cm (15 1/2 x 19 1/2in); Provenance: private collection, London; Bruce Heggtveit, Canadian, 1917-2004; born in Maidstone, Saskatchewan into an artistic family, it wasn't until the 1970's that he decided to pursue art full-time; Heggtveit was also a gifted mentor and taught on-location classes at the Ottawa School of Art, St. Lawrence College and the Gatineau Group of Painters
