The Singer 201 was the top of the range model, considered to be the Rolls Royce of the machines, and was used by machinists of the Rolls Royce factory to stitch together leather upholstery; the 201 used a direct drive motor, rather than a belt motor, so thicker material didn't cause the belt to slip; also included is the cord and original receipt in 1949 for $252.50, museum quality condition
