Rare 18th century French engraving showing planets eclipses, armillery sphere, globes and systems of planetary rotation (Ptolemy, Copernicus, Descartes, etc.); engraved/printed by Delafosse circa 1730, originally folded into 8 parts, the full sheet measures approximately 58.4 x 81.3cm (23 x 32in) - some areas of foxing, edges worn and one small tear; an extremely rare find, few examples can be found in museum and institutional collections
