Barometer in the form of a ship's wheel commemorative gift to the commander of the French Destroyer "Le Terrible", which entered service in 1936 and participated in WWII, with engraved nameplate to display base; in working condition, 26.7cm (10 1/2in) high x 27.9cm (11in) wide at base - the consignor informed the auctioneers he believes this special piece was presented to Commander Pierre J.G.M. Lancelot, decorated by Lord Mountbatten, 1946
