Circa 1770 signed Shuttleworth 12.7cm (5in) diameter surveyor's compass with flip-type alidades, mahogany case with hooks, flawless operation and silvered dial; the case measures 14.6 x 17.1cm (5 3/4 x 6 3/4in) - a fine and extremely rare example
