Constructed of bronze, signed for Joseph Sindle, Tottenham Park, 1829; modelled by Charles Brudenell-Bruce, 1st Marquess of Ailesbury after the early sundial dating back to the time of William the Conqueror; the gnomon is slightly bent for the Tottenham Park grounds of Tottenham House, Latitude 51.37'.36''; the King at the time this sundial was produced was George IV, who lobbied for free trade worldwide, perhaps an explanation for the locations on the sundial ranging from the Americas to the Far East; good age patina, diameter 22.9cm (9in), height of gnomon 14cm (5 1/2in)
