"Untitled: Yukon River Landscape near Dawson City", signed indistinctly lower left, oil on board, 24.8 x 47.3cm (9 3/4 x 18 5/8in), unframed; Provenance: from a private London collection; this work is believed to have been executed near Dawson City, and most likely painted during the Klondike gold rush in the late 1800's, which saw tens of thousands of prospectors in this area; it is very rare to see paintings from this era, as the majority of historical images during the gold rush were photographs
